HVAC Fire Life Safety is the inspection, maintenance, repair and replacement of fire dampers, smoke dampers and fire and smoke dampers, in addition to smoke control systems, in a commercial building’s HVAC system. Dampers and smoke control systems keep smoke and fire from traveling through the HVAC system, allowing for a building’s occupants to safely exit and first responders to enter.
