Ventilation Verification for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) is a physical assessment of the existing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) infrastructure. The Ventilation Verification Assessment establishes an HVAC system’s baseline for adequate ventilation.

The specification allows school districts, building owners, and occupants to require Ventilation Verification within their buildings when not required by code.

The provided sample specifications are general templates and will require site specific information to be added prior to a final draft.

Appendix A – Detailed specification that can be handed a qualified mechanical contractor.  The specification outlines the required steps for performing an adequate Ventilation Verification, technician qualifications, and ongoing maintenance requirements.

Appendix B – Contains sample Methods of Procedure (MOP) and sample forms should be provided to the contractor who will be performing the Ventilation Verification assessment.
