UFAD

Under Floor Air Distribution (UFAD) is an alternative to Conventional Air Distribution (CAD) systems, but the advantages and disadvantages should be considered using an objective protocol. NEMI is offering seminars to better explain the differences between the systems. The course instructors include Dr. James E. Woods and John Hamilton.

James E. Woods., Ph.D., P.E., is recognized as a specialist in indoor environmental issues within the engineering and scientific community. He is the Executive Director of the Building Diagnostic Research Institute. He has been involved in the research, practice and instruction of environmental control systems in buildings for over 35 years. As presenter of this seminar, Dr. Woods will share his experiences and understandings relating to indoor air quality.

As Chief Operations Officer for the Testing Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB), John Hamilton has been active in striving for a better understanding within the industry of how testing and balancing affects the indoor environmental health of building occupants. Mr. Hamilton has been with the National Energy Management Institute, the International Training Institute and with SMWIA Local 10 since the early 1980s.
