Message from NEMI

In January 2000, NEMI's mission was determined by a Strategic Planning Committee made up of industry experts. They got together for an intensive two-day session to determine what NEMI should accomplish as the research and development branch of the sheet metal industry.

Experts decided what roads NEMI should take - where development of projects should lead and what endeavors would be required.

Now, years later, we've had more than 200 individual representatives from SMACNA and the SMWIA commit themselves to task forces - determined to provide the best opportunities for our workers and contractors. Our Testing, Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB) has grown tremendously, from a technician-only program to one that offers certification of supervisors and contractors.
